I studied with the Institute for Integrative Nutrition where I found myself drawn to a very influential teacher, David Wolfe. His high energy and enthusiasm inspired me to include more energizing and healing raw foods, superfoods and superherbs into my diet. I was amazed at how much younger I felt and how much energy I had as an entrepreneur. I was inspired to create a chocolate with the highest quality "feel good" superfoods available, including the most nutritious and low glycemic sweetener - raw honey.
I started my company purely by fate. For about 15 years, I worked in product development, branding and packaging design for M&M Mars candy company. I also invented and designed toys and sold my products in FAO Schwartz and toy stores nationwide. Somewhere along the way, stress and migraines became part and parcel to my business.
Then my best friend was diagnosed with pancreatic cancer and sadly passed away two months later. This is what triggered me to make changes in my life. I closed my toy business and was committed to finding a healthier life.
Through my research, I learned that MSG ingredients could be a trigger to my debilitating migraines. I printed out a list of ingredients provided by MSGmyth.com and found few products without one or more of these ingredients. This forced me to make everything from scratch and in just two weeks, my migraines were gone.
